Harry Edward LeClaire (Ed LeClaire), age 75, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Community Home Health and Hospice in Vancouver, Washington. Ed was born on February 4, 1942 in Menlo Park, California, to Harry and Norma LeClaire. He graduated from Menlo Park High School in 1960 and Oregon State University in 1964.
Ed worked as the President of the Electronic Office Products Division of Tab Products in Palo Alto, California for 20 years. Ed then became the founder and CEO of a company named Edible Technology where he invented his "Anytime Pizza Machine." In 1990, he moved this company to Vancouver, Washington, where he put this product into production. Ed managed this business in Vancouver until his retirement in 2000, when he sold the manufacturing rights of the Anytime Pizza Machine.
Ed is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; daughters Jennifer (Chris) Kiesman, Sharon LeClaire, and Susan (Robert) Blum; son Tom (Karen) Green; grandchildren Jacob, Ryan, Emma, Brandi, Cory, Michael, Jamie; great grandchildren Alyssa, Hailey, Damon, Orion, Camden; brother, Don (Sheila) LeClaire; and niece and nephew Leslie and Keith.
Ed loved to host family and friends at home and at Disneyland and Disney World. In addition, Ed had a passion for working in his yard and beautiful garden. He also spent much time on the never-ending project of maintaining and enhancing their beautiful home. And, for over 15 years, Ed hosted a men's train club.
Memorial services for Ed LeClaire will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 22, 2017, at New Heights West church at 400 West Evergreen Blvd, Vancouver, Washington, 98660.
